This page lists the various fighting wings of Ista Weyr, those who serve the all-important function of protecting their land from the menace of Thread.

BLACKDIAMOND WING

The queen's wing of Ista includes the senior gold, juniors, retired weyrwomen, and injured or pregnant riders able to actively fly Threadfall. Often dragonhealers also join in these ranks.

REDCLOUD WING - NPC

This Wing is almost exclusively Telgari riders who voluntarily left their Weyr to come to Ista, one of the first Weyrs who took an early Pass seriously. They, unlike Telgar, wanted to train for its return and so journeyed to Ista. Their Wingleader is a native Istan while his 'second is directly Telgari in origin.
